NAMD Philadelphia:
We seek to advance the mission of
the NAMD founders by leveraging the economic power of
the African American market. The achievement of this mission
will benefit our community and provide social and economic
empowerment. To accomplish our goals, we are creating
local networking opportunities, providing professional
development and forming strategic alliances within strategic
market segments and the general market. NAMD also provides
research data that helps educate consumers and marketers
and allow both audiences to make better market decisions.
The
NAMD 58th Conference was convened under the theme of "Act
Local, Market Global". This was a phenominally valuable
conference. Some of the best "thought leaders"
among Black entrepreneurs, markters, and professionals
made this an experience to remember.
The
National Alliance of Market Developers was established as
black marketing specialists networked to search out new
ways to cope with the challenges in cultivating the "Black
Market." The National Alliance of Market Developers
is a professional organization committed to being a catalyst
for positive and progressive change for African-Americans.
Members are found largely in the areas of marketing, management,
advertising, sales, public relations, urban affairs, and
other related fields. NAMD recognizes the vital role of
individuals in these areas of communication and offers a
vehicle that enables them to exchange knowledge, information,
experience and know-how about the marketplace.
